The first Angry Birds app was released by Finnish games developer Rovio in 2009. Since then, there have been multiple versions and spin-offs of the game, as well as pocket-emptying merchandise including toys and soft drinks, and theme parks and attractions.

But before this gang of pixellated angry birds came into being, seemingly with the sole purpose of defeating a rival gang of bad piggies, there were many other angry birds residing in the wild, quietly seething but mostly being ignored as they furiously went about their days. Below you will find some of the crossest birds ever to have been captured on film.
