Garden Bird Supplies was founded in the country town of Wem, Shropshire in the autumn of 1994. The company's aim was to provide a range of high-quality foods for wild birds, which at the time was something surprisingly difficult to find.
Back then, people were just starting to recognise the falling populations of many of Britain's best-loved garden birds - caused mainly by changing agricultural practices and urban encroachment on the countryside - and Garden Bird Supplies felt that the year-round feeding of good, nutritious food across a network of gardens could play a big part in countering this problem.
Today Garden Bird Supplies is the UK's biggest specialist supplier of wild bird-related products by mail order. They now have the widest range of quality foods, feeders, nest boxes and accessories, all tested for safety and effectiveness and all available to buy online.
