Review submitted by V Price from Brighton, East Sussex who travelled in September 2008.

What was the most memorable part of your holiday?
The weather! The whole experience was like something you see on a film - a real tropical island paradise.

What birds and other wildlife did you see?
The holiday promises that you will see all of Jamaica's endemic bird species - I believe there are over 25. We must have seen most of them including parrots, woodpeckers, the Jamaican Mango, thrushes and flycatchers. The orchids and other flowers are also stunning as are the butterflies.

What advice would you give to other people thinking about booking this holiday?
There's a lot of walking involved and it got very hot at times so invest in some decent walking boots and lightweight layers that you can take off easily.

How would you rate your holiday overall?
My wife and I went on this holiday for our honeymoon - we wanted to do something exotic but a bit different from the normal sandy beaches. Having said that there are lots of beautiful beaches and other romantic spots and if you don't want to go on all the excursions you can spend some time just chilling out.

Would you recommend this as a bird watching holiday? Yes. A guided holiday like this is perfect for seeing unusual species and the knowledge of the local guides is indispensable. I don't think you'd see as many birds and other wildlife if you tried to do a holiday like this on your own.

Rating out of 5: 5 Stars
