A well stocked bird table should be the focal point of your bird feeding and the simplest way to observe the birds in your garden. Any food can be placed on a bird table and birds will be happy to feed from it - and from the bits that drop on the ground!
A bird table will be at its most popular from October to April when natural food is in short supply and you should make sure it is well stocked particularly if it has snowed or the ground is frozen as birds will be unable to forage for insects and other natural food.
